Wade, Jay C. Ph.D.

Bio

Jay C. Wade, PhD, is an associate professor in the clinical psychology doctoral program at Fordham University, Bronx, NY. His research and scholarly interests include the psychology of men and masculinity, identity issues, and multicultural issues in psychology, and he has published several articles on issues related to counseling African American men. He received his doctoral degree in counseling psychology from the University of Maryland. He is a licensed psychologist in the state of New York and provides consultation on issues of cultural diversity and substance abuse treatment. He is past-president of the Society for the Psychological Study of Men and Masculinity of the American Psychological Association. He and has been awarded a Fulbright Senior Scholar award to do research in Bali and Java Indonesia during the 2013-2014 academic year. His research will examine masculinity, changing gender roles, spirituality, and marital and life satisfaction among Indonesian men.
